Technology

SilGre uses a CSIR IICT‑backed wet chemical process to convert rice husk ash and fly ash into high‑purity precipitated silica. The process involves alkaline extraction, solid liquid separation, controlled silica precipitation, multi‑stage washing, drying, and milling to achieve precise physico‑chemical properties such as purity, particle size, and surface area.

Process advantages

  • Utilizes waste RHA and fly ash instead of mined quartz, significantly reducing raw‑material and energy footprint.

  • Produces near‑99% purity amorphous silica with tunable BET surface area (~206 m²/g) and controlled particle size (~4.3 µm).

  • Engineered for consistent, application‑ready quality across rubber and tire, footwear, construction and coatings, food powders, pharmaceutical, and electronics/semiconductor‑linked value chains.
